Philanthropy

Central to our brotherhood is the concept of servant leadership. Understanding that serving the legitimate needs of others to better our community and the desire to do so is a core value shared among all brothers.

Because actions speak louder than words, our dense philanthropic calendar includes events that work with organizations such as the Special Olympics Committee, the Boys and Girls Club, Feeding America, and more. Additionally, brothers heavily participate in many UCLA Greek Philanthropic events and other various philanthropic groups on and off campus, such as the Pediatric Aids Coalition that annually puts on the famous Dance Marathon.

The General Fraternity awarded UCLA the Toizer Brown Public Affairs Award in 2013 for our chapter’s philanthropy event, The Lambda Chi Country Club. The award is given to chapters whose events raise awareness for a cause and benefit the community. After tremendous Greek participation, we’re excited to announce a partnership with the North America Food Drive to tremendously increase the benefits to our community and scope of the event.

In addition to our participation in philanthropies hosted by other on-campus organizations (greek and non-greek), a few of our own upcoming philanthropic/community events include:

  • Habitat for Humanity Build
  • Special Olympics Southern California
  • North American Food Drive
  • Blood Drive
  • Election Polling Location
